During a week, LLCE students took part in a drama workshop with Sadie Jemmet and Charlie Colburn of the Footsbarn Travelling Theater to stage some chosen pieces of Twelfth Night, one of Shakespeare's latest comedy plays. The workshop was supported by Région Auvergne Rhône Alpes and Pass Culture.

Pupils from Camille Vernet (collège and lycée) as well as a class from Collège Paul Valéry came to the show on Friday 14th February.

I found the drama workshop a really rewarding week. Firstly because we got to practise our accents, but also because I think it's a good and fun way to learn English. Sadie and Charlie really managed to put us at ease from the first day and helped us discover how we would interpret our character. For me, I think the show was a success with the short time we had to put it together and learn our lines. It's also really cool that they took the time to explain to each of us what our lines meant, because Shakespeare's language is quite particular and hard to understand.

I liked to work with the Footsbarn theater. It was relaxing to not work in class and just expressing yourself without judgement. Even if it was hard at first to just let your body and your mind free from all your problems. For me, I think we really did our best and it reinforces the bounds between everybody.

I really enjoyed the drama workshop because it has made us discover a different type of art. I enjoyed playing on our "stage" and having fun with my classmates. There was no judgement at all, just fun and teamwork. Sadie and Charlie were both really sweet with all of us, helping us understand better the play and how to play. This workshop is a really good memory!
